Yet another Caribbean Website has been launched. This time by Grenadian – Edward “Eddie” Frederick under the domain name caribbeanperspective.com.
Frederick, who has been in the media for close to twenty years, introduced his countrymen to interactive radio in the aftermath of the US led Military Intervention of Grenada back in 1983 which restored democratic rule to the only English speaking Caribbean island to have staged a successful armed coup which overthrew the duly elected administration of Sir Eric Gairy in March of 1979.
His programs range from Let’s Talk About It on Spice Capital Radio back in the late 80’s/early 90’s, to Striking a Balance – on Grenada Broadcasting Network, to Feel the Pulse on Young Sound FM, to Sunday Magazine and Public Response on Spice Capital Radio then syndicated to several Internet based radio stations up until recently when he replaced Public Response with Caribbean Sunday.

Eddie Frederick’s new focus from his South Florida base is a wider view of the entire Caribbean region while he endeavors to complement the admirable efforts of entities like
Caribbean New News and other regional media to bring Caribbean nationals in closer contact through a larger vision!
As a broadcaster, trainer, and motivation speaker – Frederick is very equipped to spread his wings and bring to the region a Caribbean website which he promises will add to the efforts of others and not duplicate them.
Within recent times he was actively involved in radio in South Florida as News Director for NewsTalk 1080 WTPS – a member of the Radio One Network. In a recent interview with The Blue Green Network – Frederick explained: “I got the idea to commence this process geared towards “putting the Caribbean in closer contact through a larger vision while I was at the Radio One Group”.
CaribbeanPerspective.com can be considered the answer to having what matters to the Caribbean Diaspora in one place while presenting a larger vision of who Caribbean people are.
Visitors to the site can look forward to encounters with the intellectual, the cultural, the educational, the musical, the historical – and all that sums up the region with its rich and colorful heritage.
Frederick said: “This is a site about regional current affairs through News; a focus on strengthening democracy; saluting Teachers throughout for their dedication and commitment to this noble vocation; and, inspiration, motivation, worthwhile proverbs, opinion pieces, humor, – all accompanied by great music…..rolled into one 60 minute program called Caribbean Sunday”.
Frederick invites comments and suggestions from all visitors to the site at this embryonic stage of its development, indicating that “Very shortly, the region will be exposed to home grown on-line motivational and social skills training from a Certified Image Management practitioner – a product of the Caribbean environment. Businesses within the Caribbean region as well as outside, within the Diaspora in the United States and elsewhere are also invited to subscribe to the noble practice of developing their team members through this inexpensive method of training.
